This tool turns dense legislative databases into clear, interactive visuals. Track procedures, follow institutional actors, check compliance deadlines and access official documents instantly – all in one place.
Short instructions below – see my blog for more detail and guides on EU procedures. You can also subscribe if you like to receive updates about new features and data.
🗺️ Navigate actors and procedure stepsThe landing page provides an overview of the EU’s legislative pipeline, breaking down procedures by the responsible Directorate-Generals (DGs) in the European Commission, relevant committees in the European Parliament and Council bodies (to be added).
Use the filters in the sidebar to modify the figures and focus on specific committees or DGs.
Click on the bars in each figure to display relevant procedures in the table below.
Reset the filters using the reset button or by reloading the page.
Click the Detail button in each table to trace individual procedures.
The application then dynamically draws the legislative process of the selected procedure, highlighting key events (depending on data availability).
The table below shows further procedure steps, including links to relevant documents where available.
The Themes page allows you to explore files by policy subject.
Use the interactive map to drill down on each subject. The table below shows all files matching the selected category.
Search the table by keywords to locate relevant files quickly.
The figure displays implementation dates for all files in the dataset by month, including relevant Articles in the law.
Click on a bar to display implementation dates and compliance deadlines for a specific month in the table below.
All applicable implementation dates and relevant Articles are also listed in the Detail section of each file.
Monitor progress on the omnibus simplification packages proposed by the European Commission.
